What is ScanITT?

ScanITT was conceived around Business Contingency Planning (BCP) and Capacity Management. At birth there was no other tool capable of parallel scanning and returning vast amounts of data, quickly and accurately to deal with Year 2000 planning in the City of London. In short ScanITT provides real time snapshots of any device attached to an IP network, in summary or great detail and can be deployed to meet many different kinds of requirements.

ScanITT is a network discovery, analysis and configuration audit tool, which requires no deployment, and has no impact on network performance. The product may be applied to any size and geographically spread organisation in a fast and affordable manner.

No software has to be delivered to any machine on the network. All that is required is administrative access to a network and the start and end IP addresses of the network address space(s) to be scanned. In fact, a comprehensive audit can be carried out with a laptop via mobile phone technology!

ScanITT makes the traditional change control considerations redundant, as other than the computer on which ScanITT resides, NO code is added to any computer on the network, therefore not making any changes to the infrastructure.

Unlike competing products that claim to provide the benefit of "no deployment required" doing so by deploying the agents via a server module, ScanITT is entirely agentless. ScanITT utilises the inherent functionality of the existing systems and protocols and thus achieves its purpose without ever leaving the computer on which it runs

From the requirement to provide reports quickly ScanITT technology has been developed to provide a unique toolset to acquire audit data on TCPIP networks. Now in its second phase of development the engine has been streamlined with a unique engine. Unlike competing products that have copied the ScanITT original engine. ScanITT now has a unique structure. The best comparison is to compare a piston engine to a rotary engine. ScanITT was originally a procedure based tool, but to maximize its deployment possibilities across many different types of enterprise it has been completely re-written to provide a complete loop operation system that is fast, efficient and has a tiny footprint.

What this means is that we can offer a the engine and licence functionality based on specific requirements for an enterprise. This gives huge flexibility and competitive pricing to licence just the tools that are needed either on a short term basis or permanently and we can tailor a configuration for any business.

ScanITT will be releasing a range of different products and options over the next 12 months.

ScanITT Auditor

The first release is ScanITT Auditor. This is a complete suite of network audit and data collection tools, designed to be used by professionals to create reports for infrastructure change management.

One of the unique new features is the ability to create a complete graphical network design plan that can be edited and exported to keep Network Plans up to date for Disaster Recovery and Change control.
