This feature allows you to discover all devices on a network that respond to an ICMP echo. If this option

System Metrics
This feature allows the retrieval of summary details of machines including types, vendors and operating systems.

Services
ScanITT retrieves Services information from all or any of the machines on the scanned network.
For example a user can view all machines which are running a specific group of services, or where
services are disabled.

File Inventory

will virus check all files searched> In a virus outbreak ScanITT can quickly scan and disinfect a whole network.

SNMP
ScanITT can retrieve SNMP data from any device on a network that is running the SNMP service.
SNMP is the Internet standard protocol developed to manage nodes (servers, workstations, printers, routers, switches and hubs etc.) on an IP network. SNMP enables network administrators to manage network performance, find and solve network problems, and plan for network growth. SNMP is defined in Request For Comments (RFC)
All that requires is a valid community string for the SNMP service.
